Anyone who follows Google knows that nothing it creates is immune from elimination. Like so many efforts before it, Authorship is fading into the sunset.


Do you ever wonder if the folks at Google just sit back and laugh as many in the SEO world go nuts after each announcement about anything that affects/potentially affects rankings?

While there are “non content” things to consider when optimizing your site — back links (natural acquisition of good ones, removal of bad ones), architecture, alt tags, etc. — just remember that Google is focused on user experience. A great experience in search means quality, relevant content shows up first — not overly optimized pages.

Take time to focus your content marketing efforts on quality — not just “optimization.”
